Amazing Illustrators: Michael Bartalos
Our Animal Alphabet series was illustrated
by Michael Bartalos. All 26 letters with animals to match. His playful style was perfect for a series that we wanted to be so fun you'd want to put the card in a frame and hang it on your kid's wall. Michael lives and works in San Francisco. He has done illustrations for Nickelodeon, Swatch, California Academy of Sciences, and Microsoft to name just a few. He recently designed the Latin Jazz stamp for the U.S. Postal Service. He just returned from Antarctica on a fellowship from the National Science Foundation's Office of Polar Programs.
But the best thing about him is that he is just a really great guy.
